TRUE STORY It’s something like 4pm. I can get home quick and start writing about resilience for my school work. As I crossed the road across the tram stop and was about the wait for the next light, a young man said hi to me. “Hi, do you study at Melbourne Uni?” Did we make eye contact? This was the corner of Elizabeth Street and Victoria street, where there is always someone standing around trying to promote something. Last time I think they were Mormons, but this time it was some other group. I do not know why I stopped to talk to him. Maybe it was his question, maybe he looked nice, maybe it was because he looked young

If I am to die today What will I do? The letters I have not finished I'll finish them. The things I've never done but wanted to, I'll do them. I will cook for my friends one last time Tell all my friends that I love them And take the hand of the girl I love and walk the last walk. I will buy myself a nice bottle of wine, the best I can find A small sip is enough, The last kiss to the world. And at the end, I would, I guess, wave with a smile. But in truth I don't know what to do. I have nothing I can do, even though I know this can be my last day. It's probably better for me to just die alone.

My personal statement lays in a bin again. I struggle to find any truth in me that "the colleges will accept". I don't even know what the admission officers want to hear. It's either too childish, or too scary, or too dark, so says my counselor, my teachers, my psychiatrist, my parents. I am sick and I am tired. Someone in need of help

First journal, but it is something for someone else. But I have come across someone, on dA, who now really needs our help. Here's an excerpt from his journal: ---------------------------------------------------- He passed away July 5, 2010 of natural causes....in his sleep.... He was 49, retired Air Force... 1960 - 2010 Please dont say I know how you feel... I've heard it enough..... I am selling DA prints to raise money.
